OPTS, Inc. is committed to providing the finest one on one, hands on care, to each and every patient. This personalized treatment, from the time of initial evaluation through the entire rehabilitation process, is what sets OPTS, Inc. apart from the large volume oriented practices that are so common today.
We are owned and operated by a doctorate level physical therapist who focuses on resolving the cause of your condition. We achieve outstanding results by resolving problems, not treating symptoms. Our patients are treated by the same therapist for every session. This continuity of care assures accurate assessment, education and progression of your therapy program.
Hours by appointment, early morning and evening hours available. Patients are typically seen within 48 hours of initial contact with our office.
Dr. Sheaffer is one of the first Pennsylvania Direct Access licensed physical therapists in the Lehigh Valley. Direct Access permits specially licensed physical therapists to evaluate and treat patients without a physician's prescription for the first 30 days of care. What does this mean for our patients? Care without delay.
With the cost of deductibles, coinsurances, and copays skyrocketing, patients are more responsible for for a greater portion of their healthcare bill. In the Lehigh Valley, the average cost of a physical therapy evaluation at a hospital based outpatient office or facility is $710. OPTS charges $85 for the same service. The insurance reimburses approximately $385; OPTS is reimbursed approximately $56.
Let's look at the math: with a $2500 deductible, your first visit will cost $385 vs $56. If your deductible is met and you are responsible only for a coinsurance of 20% it is $77 vs $11. A common used therapeutic exercise code for 15 minutes is $190 in the outpatient hospital based facility vs OPTS fee of $35; again the hospital insurance reimbursement is approximately $105 vs OPTS at $28 for the exact same service code.
